Clement-Garrard Crankcase

A Very much 'work in progress' 1903 Clement-Garrard engine crankcase half. Originals are prone to breaking off a mounting lug.

Once finished this part will include some subtle strengthening and will then be printed in 6061 Aluminium.

To check fit, we'll supply the customer with an "as fitted" plastic 3D print, and then once happy we'll submit for metal printing.

Client will have a small amount of machining to do on bearing fits and threads, but far less processing than a casting.

Bowden stirrup rear brake

Early veteran motorcycles used a stirrup style rear brake - the most common being made by Bowden. There is very little information, and every picture shows a different style!

These were designed to look the part, but actually fit the customers 1908 Lincoln Elk. Trialed in plastic to check fit, then printed in 316L stainless.

Threads finished by hand.

Veteran Precision engine 500cc
timing chain cover

A selection of timing covers redeveloped for replica castings. These were awkward as a batch was to be cast, that must fit exactly with existing castings - such that if a customer only required a "front" it would fit with there existing "back". To check fit, we printed "as fitted" and then added machining and shrinkage allowances before casting. Varieties were produced for "The Precision", "Sun Precision" and "Calthorpe". Other brands that used Precision engines can be quickly produced, please ask.

Recreated from period catalogue images & photos.

Customer supplied a genuine lamp and basic fitment measurements.

3D printed in PLA for test print, before final print in 316L stainless and mirror polishing.

 

Veteran 2 speed countershaft transmission

Originally patented in 1912 by Kirby & Edwards of Lincoln. Reverse engineered from frame fitment dimensions, period magazine reviews & patent sketches shown in period sales brochures. The countershaft was subtly redesigned to house modern bearings for reliability. 3D printed casting patterns were produced to faithfully reproduce the clutch housings.
